This guy on the internet started a prank on his mother. He requested people send his mother postcards and useless items. The idea was to pretend to know his mother, pretend to be friends from way back. The idea was not to use a return address. It was meant to confuse her. This went on for six months. We signed on about two months ago. It seemed like too much fun to torture a mom!

Well, the jig is up now. It hit the front page of a St. Louis newspaper on Mother's Day. Mom found out. On the photo for the article they placed some of the items she received. Our postcard was one of them! (circled in red below)

Here is what the front looked like

Here is what Mandy and I came up with on the back: (This guy's mother was cutting down trees on her lot and painting the stumps red at that time. They were teasing her about being nuts, so Mandy and I thought it was perfect for this card!)

"Greetings C******~ I have heard you are a beginning tree-stump painter. This is a wonderful art form that can be done in many ways! It adds a Shaker-Style elegance to any yard, one can plan entire events around them! By topping the tastefully painted stump with a heavy glass top a table is formed. Don't forget to decorate with a bow or two. New life can be given to old, discarded silverware with the addition of twiggs. I call this "Woodenware". Don't forget a homemade log cake! Tree-stump painting is a good thing. That is what started me on my road to success. Best Wishes, M.S." (for Martha Stewart- that's her in the postcard)

Ah to be famous AND known!
